Effects of the 1st house (Tanu Bhava)

Indications of first house: physique, appearance, intellect (or the organ of intelligence, i.e. brain), complexion of the body, vigour, weakness, happiness, grief, and innate nature are all to be guessed through the ascending sign.

• BP 12-1. Physical comforts: Should the ascendant lord be conjunct with a malefic or be in 6th, 8th or 12th house, physical felicity will diminish.
• BP 12-2. There will not be bodily health if the ascendant or the Moon be aspected by or conjunct with a malefic, being devoid of a benefic aspect.
• BP 12-3. A malefic in the ascendant will make one bereft of good appearance.
• BP 12-5. Fame, wealth, abundant pleasures, and comforts of the body will be acquired if the ascendant lord is in a movable sign and be aspected by a benefic planet.
• BP 24-12. If the ascendant lord is in 12th house and is devoid of benefic aspect and/or conjunction the native will be bereft of physical happiness, will spend unfruitfully and be given to much anger.
• SA 30-1. The Sun in the 1st house: The Sun in the ascendant denotes that the native will have less hair (on the head), be lazy in function, given to anger, will have prominent personality, be honorable, will have weak sight and coarse physique, be courageous, impatient and unkind.
• HS 21-1. One born at the time of sunrise (i.e. with the Sun in the ascendant), will not be quiet and calm, neither will he have many sons. He will be unkind, be fond of war, and weak sighted. He will speak less, live in foreign countries, and be happy.
• GH 15. If the Sun is in the ascendant at birth, the native will be subjected to mental worries and will have no place of his own.

Effects of the 2nd house (Dhana Bhava)

Indications of 2nd house: Wealth, grains (food etc.), family, death, enemies, metals, precious stones etc. are to be understood through the second house.

• BP 13-1. Should the lord of 2nd house be in 6th/8th/12th, financial conditions will decline.
• BP 13-1. A benefic in 2nd house will give wealth.
• BP 13-6. There will be penury right from birth and the native will have to beg even for his food if the lords of 2nd and 11th house are both combust or with malefics.
• BP 13-9. Fame, etc.: If lord of the 2nd house is in own sign or is exalted the native will look after his people, will help others, and all will become famous.
• BP 13-12. Should the said planet be in 6th, 8th, or 12th house, there will be disease or deformity of eyes.
• BP 24-18. If lord of the 2nd house is conjunct with a malefic, there will be loss through enemies apart from mutilation of shanks.
• SA 30-38. Mercury in the 2nd house: If Mercury is in the 2nd house, the native will earn wealth through his own wisdom, will enjoy food and drinks, be auspicious in speech and will have good course of conduct.
• SA 30-62. Venus in the 2nd house: If Venus is in the 2nd house, the native will enjoy abundant food, drinks and wealth, will derive excellent pleasures, be endowed with good speech and will amass great wealth.
• HS 21-46. In 2nd house, Mercury makes one rich and lucky.
• HS 21-70. When Venus is placed in 2nd house, one will be conscientious, have cheerful face, and be kind.
• SA 34-18. Benefics in the 2nd house cause advent of money in many ways.
• GH 202. Mercury, Venus in the 2nd house: The native will acquire a fleet of horses, and elephants, be very wealthy, wise, virtuous, truthful, and will be dear to Brahmis

.Effects of the 3rd house (Sahaj Bhava)

Indications of third house: From the third house, know of the following: valor, servants (attending, etc.), brothers, sisters, etc. initiatory instructions (Upadesh), journey, and parent’s death.

• BP 14-6. Happiness in this respect will come to pass if Mars or lord of the 3rd house is in an angle or in a trine or in exaltation, or friendly divisions.
• BP 24-28. If lord of the 3rd house is in 4th house, the native will be happy, wealthy and intelligent, but will acquire a wicked spouse.

Effects of 4th house (Bandhu Bhava)

Indications of 4th house: Conveyances, relatives, mother, happiness, treasure, lands and buildings are to be consulted through 4th house.

• BP 15-15. A malefic related to 4th house (and to its lord) will produce only malefic effects (in respect of conveyances).
• BP 15-16. Should a benefic be in 4th, aspects 4th, or in conjunct with the lord of 4th, or an aspect on the lord of 4th house, then the native will be happy with conveyances and be free from accidents and dangers.
• BP 15-17. Should a malefic be in 4th, aspects 4th, or in conjunct with the lord of 4th, or an aspect on the lord of 4th house, one will experience losses concerning vehicles and reduce one to severe accidents.
• BP 24-38. If lord of the 4th house is in 2nd house, the native will enjoy pleasures, all kinds of wealth, family life and honour, and be adventurous. He will be cunning in disposition.
• SA 30-28. Mars in the 4th house: If Mars is posited in the 4th house, the native will be devoid of relatives, paraphernalia and conveyances, be very miserable, will live in others’ houses and be distressed.
• HS 21-36. Mars in 4th house will make one desirous of living in others houses, will make one sick, and wealthy.

Effects of the 5th house (Putra Bhava)

Indications of 5th house: The learned should deduce from 5th house amulets, sacred spells, learning, knowledge, sons, royalty (or authority), fall of position, etc.

• BP 16-2. Should the lord of 5th be combust or be with malefics and be weak, there will be no children; even if per chance issues are obtained, they will only quit the world soon.
• BP 16-8. If lord of the 5th house is in 6th, 8th, or 12th house, or be in an inimical sign, or be in fall, or in 5th itself, the native will beget issues with difficulty.
• BP 16-16. If lord of the 5th house is exalted or be in 2nd, 5th, or 9th house, or be conjunct with or aspected by Jupiter, obtainment of children will be there.
• BP 24-50. If lord of the 5th house is in 2nd house, the native will have many sons and wealth, be a pater familiaris, be honourable, be attached to his spouse, and be famous in the world.
• BP 25-31. If Parivesha is in 5th house, the native will be affluent, virtuous, splendorous, affectionate, religious, and dear to his wife.

Effects of the 6th house (Ari Bhava)

Indications of 6th house: Maternal uncle, doubts about death, enemies, ulcers, step-mother, etc., are to be estimated from 6th house.

• BP 17-4. As regards, Rahu and Ketu, they do not own any house in the normal context. Hence, their position in 6th or 8th house, or the situation that they are joining lord of the 6th house need only be considered. Rahu or Ketu in the 6th or 8th house will cause stomachial disorders.
• BP 17-9. Timing of Illness : The native will be afflicted by illness throughout life if Saturn is with Rahu while 6th lord and 6th house are conjunct with malefics.
• BP 24-72. If lord of the 6th house is in 12th house the native will always spend on vices, be hostile to learned people and will torture living beings.
• BP 25-36. If Dhooma is in 6th house, the native will be strong, will conquer his enemies, be very brilliant, famous and free from diseases.
• BP 25-42. If Pranapada is in 6th house, the native will be subdued by his relatives and enemies, be sharp, will have defective digestive fire, be wicked, sickly, affluent, and short-lived.
• SA 30-54. Jupiter in the 6th house: If Jupiter is in the 6th house, the native will lack digestive fire and masculine virile, be humiliated, weak, indolent, will become famous on account of females, will destroy his enemies and be widely famous.
• HS 21-62. In 6th house, Jupiter will give no enemies, make him a minister of the king, and prudent.
• GH 10. If the Moon is in the 12th from ascendant while malefics are in the 6th house, the native will be short-lived. He will suffer from stomach disorders.

Effects of the 7th house (Yuvati Bhava)

Indications of 7th house: Wife, travel, trade, loss of sight, death, etc., be known from 7th house.

• BP 18-14. If Venus is so related to Saturn, the native will “kiss” the private parts of the male.
• BP 24-73. Effects of lord of the 7th house in Various houses (up to sloka 84): If lord of the 7th house is in the 1st house, the native will go to others’ wives, be wicked, skilful, devoid of courage, and afflicted by windy diseases.Effects of the 8th house (Randhra Bhava) Indications of 8th house: 8th house indicates longevity, battle, enemies, forts, wealth of the dead, and things that have happened and are to happen (in the past and future births).
• BP 19-5. Long Life: There will be long life if lord of the 6th house is in 12th; or if lord of the 6th house is in 6th as lord of the 12th house is in 12th; or if lord of the 6th house and lord of the 12th house are in the ascendant and 8th house.
• BP 19-6. If the lords of 5th, 8th, and 1st house are in own Navamshas, own signs or in friendly signs, the native will enjoy a long span of life.
• BP 24-86. If lord of the 8th is in 2nd house, the native will be devoid of bodily vigour, will enjoy a little wealth, and will not regain lost wealth.Effects of the 9th house (Bhagya Bhava) Indications of 9th house: Fortunes, wife’s brother, religion, brother’s wife, visits to shrines, etc., be known from 9th house.
• BP 24-98. If lord of the 9th house is in 2nd house,the native will be a scholar, be dear to all, wealthy, sensuous, and endowed with happiness from wife, sons, etc..
• BP 25-56. If Gulika is in 9th house, the native will undergo many ordeals, be emaciated, will perform evil acts, be very unkind, sluggish, and be a tale-bearer.
• SA 32-10. If a planet is exalted in the 9th, an excellent person is born with plentifulness of wealth and gold. And if a benefic aspects the exalted planet in question, the native will be a supreme ruler, destroyer of the band of his enemies, will possess divine splendour and great fame.
• SA 32-84. If the 9th is occupied by planets, without the company of Mercury or Jupiter , the native will be sickly, ugly, void of relatives, be troubled by imprisonments and will suffer penury.

Effects of the 10th house (Karma Bhava)

Indications of 10th house: Royalty (authority), place, profession (livelihood), honour, father, living in foreign lands and debts are to be understood from 10th house.

• BP 21-2. Paternal Happiness: If the lord of the 10th house is strong and in exaltation or in its own sign/Navamsha, the native will derive extreme paternal happiness, will enjoy fame, and will perform good deeds.
• BP 24-112. If the lord of the 10th house is in 4th house, the native will be happy, be always interested in his mother’s welfare, will lord over conveyances, lands and houses, be virtuous, and wealthy.

Effects of the 11th house (Labha Bhava)

Indications of 11th house: All articles, son’s wife, income, prosperity, quadrupeds, etc., are to be understood from 11th house.

• BP 22-2. Similarly, if lord of the 11th house is exalted, though in combustion there will be many gains.
• BP 22-11. There will be no gains in spite of numerous efforts if lord of the 11th house is in fall, in combustion, or be in 6th, 8th, or 12th house with a malefic.
• BP 24-126. If lord of the 11th house is in 6th house, the native will be afflicted by diseases, be cruel, living in foreign places and troubled by enemies.
• BP 25-66. If Vyatipata is in 11th house, the native will be extremely opulent, be honourable, truthful, firm in policy, endowed with many horses and be interested in singing.
• SA 34-58. If the 11th house is aspected by (or associated with) all the planets, advent of wealth will be in several ways. The strongest of those will have the highest influence.

Effects of the 12th house (Vyaya Bhava)

Indications of 12th house: From 12th house, one can know about expenses, history of enemies, one’s own death, etc..

• BP 23-1. There will be expenses on good accounts if lord of the 12th house is with a benefic, or in his own house, or exalted, or if a benefic occupies 12th.
• BP 23-9. One will wander from country to country if lord of the 12th house and 12th house are with malefics and lord of the 12th house gives an aspect to or receives an aspect from malefics.
• BP 24-144. If lord of the 12th house is in 12th house, the native will only face heavy expenditure, will-not have physical felicity, be irritable and spiteful.
• BP 25-75. If Indrachapa is in 12th house, the native will be wicked, very honourable, evil in disposition, shameless, will go to other’s females, and be ever poor.
• BP 25-76. If Upaketu (Dhwaja) is in 12th house, the native will be interested in sinful acts, be valiant, untrustworthy, unkind, interested in others’ females, and be short-tempered.
• SA 30-24. The Moon in the 12th house: If the Moon occupies the 12th house, the native will be odious, be fallen in moral sense, be mean, will suffer eye diseases, be indolent, distressed (or deformed), is born of other’s loins and will be insulted at all times.
• SA 30-85. Saturn in the 12th house: If Saturn occupies the 12th house, the native will be distressed, fallen in moral sense, talkative, will have defective eye sight, be unkind, shameless, will spend much and be insulted.
• HS 21-31. One who has the Moon in 12th house will have afflicted eyes, defective limb, sufferings from women, and he will be fickleminded.
• HS 21-93. If Saturn is in 12th house, the native will blame others, be burdened with heavy expenditure, and be unhappy.
• GH 1348. the Moon, Saturn in the 12th house: The native will have bad wife, base sons, inferior grain and enmity, be homeless, and be devoid of valour.

Effects of the Sun

• SA 22-53. The Sun in Aquarius: If the Sun is in Aquarius at birth, one will suffer from heart diseases, will have enormous strength (courage), be very short-tempered, be fortunate through other housewives, be hated by the learned, be firm in his activities, be miserable, will have little wealth, be fraudulent, be not firm in friendship, will have dirty body and be a miser.

Effects of the Moon

• SA 23-65. The Moon in Capricorn: If the Moon at birth be in Capricorn, the native will be a singer, will be averse to cold articles (or season), will have stout body, will be fond of truth and charity, be distinguished, famous, less irascible, be libidinous, unkind and shameless; will possess beautiful eyes and emaciated body, will violate teacher’s bed, be a poet, will have round thighs, be not very enthusiastic, be very miserly and will have long neck and ears.
• SA 23-69. Should Jupiter aspect the Moon in Capricorn at birth, the native will be a king, be incomparably brave, will have royal qualities, and will possess many wives, children and friends.
• SA 45-6. Should the Moon be so placed, one will be devoid of beauty (or brightness) and will suffer from heart diseases.

Effects of Mars

• SA 25-2. Mars in Taurus: If Mars is in Taurus in a nativity, the person will break the vows of chaste women, will eat voraciously, will have little wealth and few sons, be jealous, will maintain many people, will not trust others, will play violently, will speak very harshly, be fond of music, be sinful, be inimical to relatives and will bring infamy to his family.
• SA 45-4. Mars placed in friendly sign will make one protect the wealth of friends.

Effects of Mercury

• SA 26-12. Mercury in Pisces: Should Mercury be in Pisces, one will-be fond of good conduct and purity, will live in foreign countries, be issueless, poor, will have a chaste wife, be virtuous, fortunate, be devoid of religion, be skillful in stitching etc., and be devoid of profane knowledge, acquaintance with Shastras and fine arts, will be proficient in bagging other’s wealth and will be devoid of wealth.
• SA 26-18. Should Jupiter aspect Mercury in Sagittarius/Pisces, the native will be rich by memory, intelligence and descendency, be beautiful, noble and knowledgeable, be a kings minister, or his treasurer and be a writer.
• SA 26-18. If Saturn aspect Mercury in Sagittarius/Pisces, the native will be intent upon living in forests, will eat much, be wicked, dirty and will be unsuccessful in all his undertakings.
• SA 45-5. Mercury in debilitation indicates one to be mean and causes enmity with his cousins and other relatives.

Effects of Jupiter

• SA 27-4. Jupiter in Cancer: If Jupiter be in Cancer at birth, the native will be a scholar, be beautiful, be highly learned charitable, good-natured, be very strong, be famous, will possess abundant grains and riches, be endowed with truth and penance will have long living sons, be honored by all, will be a king, will have a distinguished profession and will be attached to his friends.
• SA 27-16. If Jupiter occupies Gemini/Virgo and is aspected by the Moon, the native will be very rich, splendorous, be a king, will enjoy abundant wealth and conveyances, and will have excellent wife and sons.
• SA 27-16. If Jupiter occupies Gemini/Virgo and is aspected by Saturn, one will be important in his village or in the army or in his town, be talkative, be very affluent, garrulous and will enjoy pleasures in old age.
• SA 45-1. One will be famous, wealthy, learned, honorable and skillful with the exaltation of Jupiter.

Effects of Venus

• SA 28-12. Venus in Pisces: If Venus is posited in Pisces at birth, one will be courteous, liberal, virtuous, very wealthy, will destroy enemies, be famous in the world, excellent, distinguished, dear to king, be endowed with good speech and wisdom, be liberal, will derive wealth and respect from the virtuous, will keep up his promise, will maintain his family members and be endowed with knowledge.
• SA 28-18. If Venus is in Sagittarius or Pisces and is aspected by Saturn, one will be always amassing financial gains, be happy, will enjoy pleasures and abundant wealth and be fortunate.
• SA 45-1. If Venus is exalted one will be fond of sports, amusements, music, dance etc.

Effects of Saturn

• SA 29-10. Saturn in Capricorn: If Saturn is posited at birth in Capricorn, the native will lord over the lands of others’ females, will be endowed with Vedic knowledge, virtues and knowledge of many branches of fine arts, be excellent among his caste-men, be honorable, will respect others, be famous, be interested in bathing and decoration, will be skillful in performance, will live in foreign places, be courageous and be polite in behavior.
• SA 29-19. If Saturn is in Capricorn or Aquarius and is aspected by Jupiter, one will be famous for his good qualities, be a king or be of royal scion, long-lived and be free from diseases.
• SA 45-3. Should Saturn be in his own house, the native will be honorable and happy.
• SA 45-8. If two planets are simultaneously exalted at birth, the native will be rich and famous.

Avasthas of Planets

• SA 45-12. If the Sun is in Gaman Avastha the native will be disposed to live in foreign places; he will be miserable, indolent, bereft of intelligence and wealth; he will be distressed due to fear and he will be short-tempered.
• SA 45-25. If the Sun is in Gaman Avastha, the native will incur disease of the feet and he will be very mean.
• SA 45-41. If the Moon is in Agam Avastha, the native will be garrulous, and virtuous and if the said the Moon is of dark fortnight the native will have two wives; he will be sick, highly wicked, and he will be violent.
• SA 45-60. If Mars is in Agam Avastha, the native will be devoid of virtues and good deeds, will be distressed by diseases, will acquire diseases of the root of the ears (‘Karan Mularogam’ & ‘Padamulam Urumulam’, etc.), and severe gout pains; he will be timid and will befriend evil lot.
• SA 45-111. If Venus is in Upavesan Avastha, the native will be endowed with a multitude of nine gems (‘Navamin Vraja’) and golden ornaments; he will be ever happy, will destroy enemies, and will be honoured by the king. He will have highly increased honours.
• SA 45-127. If Saturn is in Gaman Avastha the native will be very rich, and endowed with sons; he will grab enemy’s lands; and he will be a scholar at royal court.
• SA 45-143. If Rahu is in Agam Avastha, the native will be always mentally distressed, will have fear from enemies and litigations with enemies; he will be bereft of his own men; he will face financial destruction; and he will be crafty and emaciated.
• SA 45-160. If Ketu is in Nidr Avastha the native will be endowed with wealth and corns; he will be virtuous and will spend his time sportively.Marak (Killer) Planets
• SA 44-8. Rahu and Ketu as Marakas: If Rahu or Ketu are placed in 1st, 7th, 8th, or 12th house, or happen to be in the 7th from a Marak lord, or are placed with such a planet, they acquire powers of killing in their major or sub periods.
• SA 44-22. If 8th house is occupied by or receives an aspect from a benefic, while lord of the 9th house is conjunct with a benefic the native will die in a shrine.

Effects of the Moon in a Nakshatra

• HS 28-21. Should one be born in Uttarashadha Nakshatra, one will like fun, be modest, will have many enemies, be distressed, will have distinguished knowledge, will wander, will have many wives, and be kind.

Effects of the Moon in a sign

• HS 29-10. Should Capricorn be having one’s natal the Moon, one will be short-statured, expert, very valorous, will move for long distances, be fickleminded, be subjected to calamities and troubles, be greatly sattvic in disposition, dear to people, have defective organs related to the five senses (viz. touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing), attached to women, will be troubled by his sons, be rheumatic, and will have the affection of older ladies.

Effects of the Moon in Navamsha

• SA 24-7. If the Moon is in Capricorn/Aquarius Navamsha and is aspected by Mars, the native will be equal to a king, be very rich, happy but unfortunate in regard to wife.
• SA 24-7. If the Moon is in Capricorn/Aquarius Navamsha and is aspected by Mercury, the native will be interested in liquors, and will have bad history.
• SA 24-7. If the Moon is in Capricorn/Aquarius Navamsha and is aspected by Jupiter, the native will be devoted to his own work and be great.

Effects of Birth in the Several Amshas

• HS 30-1. The native whose ascendant falls in Aries Navamsha will be mischievous, mean, will be weak sighted, not peaceful, bilious in temperament, and sensuously disposed. Birth in Aries Amsh will confer malefic results or diseases in the 12th, 25th, 50th, or 65th year of age.
• SA 51-11. Effects of Aquarius Ascendant, Seventh Navamsha: The native will have eyes and face resembling that of a goat, be fierce in disposition, be delighted in village life, insulted by females, will suffer diseases of bilious imbalances and be endowed with strength and courage.

Moon, or Lagna, in Aquarius according to Brihat Jataka: “The individual will have a neck like that of a camel, his nerves and veins being very prominent and visible all throughout; his body will be hairy, hairs being rough and thick; he will be of a tall stature; his feet, thighs, back, hip, face and waist being long and broad. The native will be quite illiterate. He will hold illicit connection with others’ wives and will be involved with others’ wealth. He will be vicious and there will be many ups and downs in life. The native will have a liking for flowers, emollients and friends and will be able to stand the troubles of long marches on roads.”

JANMA NAKSHATRA ACCORDING TO BRIHAT JATAKA
Sravana: One is prosperous and fortunate, versed in the Vedas, with a noble and distinguished wife, wealth and fame.

PLANETS IN RASIS ACORDING TO BRIHAT JATAKA
MOON IN CAPRICORN: The individual always cherishes and supports his wife and children, but is a hypocrite in religion. The lower half of his body is lean and thin. His eyes are nice and graceful and his waist is slender. He is open to advice, and has a very retentive memory; he is fortunate but idle. He is unable to bear cold and is prone to travel. He is strong and liberal, and composer of literary works. He is covetous and holds illicit intercourse with tabooed old women (of low caste). He is shameless and heartless.

SUN IN AQUARIUS: The individual born under this combination will do deeds unsuited to his rank in life and will lose his sons and fortune. He will become poor.

MARS IN TAURUS OR LIBRA: One will become subject to the influence of women, will be on bad terms with his friends, will be in illicit intercourse with others’ wives. The man will become a magician, will be fond of good shows and fine clothing, timid, of coarse speech and with no affection.

MERCURY IN PISCES: The native will be an intelligent and faithful servant or will be able to befriend other men and will readily discover the views of other people and will also be an artisan of a low order.

JUPITER IN CANCER: The individual will be endowed with jewels, sons, wealth, property, wife, prosperity, influence, intelligence and happiness.

VENUS IN PISCES: The native will be rich, affluent, learned, honored by kings and will be of beautiful appearance and liked by all.

SATURN IN CAPRICORN OR AQUARIUS: The individual will be an illicit connection with others’ wives, will gain wealth of other persons, will become the chief leader amongst the village or town people, or within an army; and will remain dirty and impure. His wealth and prosperity will remain steady and he will enjoy these things, acquired by him.

PLANETS IN HOUSES ACCORDING TO BRIHAT JATAKA
SUN: If the Sun occupies the lagna, the individual born will become a hero, a valiant warrior, slow at work, dull; will get defective eyes, and will become merciless. This is true of all the signs becoming the Ascendant save the signs Aries, Leo, Libra, and Cancer when the results aforesaid will not be visible. The following will then be the results. If the Sun is in Aries, the individual born will become wealthy and his eyes will be diseased. In Leo, the native will become moon-blind. In Libra, the native will become blind and poor. In Cancer, the eyes of the native will become swollen and watery like the bubble or there will be mote in his eye.

MOON: If the Moon is in the twelfth house, the native will be mischievous and of defective limbs.

MARS: If Mars is in any other house, the results will be the same as mentioned under the Sun. If the Sun occupies the in the fourth house, the native will become unhappy and mentally disturbed.

MERCURY: If Mercury is in the second house, the native will become wealthy.

JUPITER: If Jupiter is in the sixth house, the native will be foe-less.

VENUS: The results of the other houses are the same as those of Jupiter in those places. If Jupiter is in the second house, the native will be sweet speaking.

SATURN: The results of the other houses are the same as those of the Sun. If the Sun is in the twelfth house, one will become a fallen and ruined man.

PLANETS IN HOUSES ACCORDING TO HORA SARA
SUN: One born with Sun in Lagna will not be quiet and calm, neither will he have many sons. He will be unkind, be fond of war, and weak sighted; he will speak less, live in foreign countries, and be happy. If the Sun is in Aries one will be famous, strong, semi blind, wealthy, and learned. In this life the native generally has some insecurity and doubts revolving around the use of their will and this causes their will to become humbled. They are generally inclined towards peace, but they may actually have violent thoughts, which may even surprise themselves. There is generally some inability to harness their will according to their demand and this may cause great frustrations and explosions in temper. RAHU/MOON: The influence of Rahu on the Moon results in some weakness in the mind that is in need of strengthening. This is generally the result of the mind not being centered in the heart, instead being centered externally or remaining unfocused. When the mind is centered externally there is discontent and depression that comes from the lack of fulfillment the world has to offer. When the mind remains unfocused there is a higher degree of psychic disorders, and/or a lack of clarity and concentration. Rahu influencing the Moon may give heightened psychic sensitivity but usually this is also accompanied by a weakness that make the native more sensitive to psychic disorders.
Other weakness of the mind caused by Rahu may be various types of mental derangement, but for any serious difficulties other malefic influences must also be indicated. In the horoscopes of natives with strong spiritual tendencies, Rahu influencing the Moon may give strong attunement.
The discontent that Rahu casts upon the Moon is also a cause of addictions. Addictions also serve to make the mind unfocused, which results again in psychic disorders. Rahu may also give a tendency to live in the imagination, in the realm of fantasy, wishes and hopes, which ultimately lead to discontent and depression because in the end the native still lives in the real world.
In female natives the conjunction of the Moon with Rahu creates a strong feminine magnetism, and a strong emotional transparency that is attractive to men. However, the woman herself feels ungrounded and insecure and is usually not emotionally healthy enough to enjoy a relationship.
